For economic reasons the targeted use of antifoams is indispensable for the smooth application of aqueous and other foam-sensitive systems. Organosiloxane-based products from CHT/BEZEMA offer numerous positive properties as suitable antifoams which on the whole can neither be met by classic organic antifoams nor by classic silicone antifoams. Thus, the specifically modified organosiloxanes stand out for their excellent efficiency even with very low application amounts. Further advantages are the very high stabilities and compatibilities with other surface-active components in many other application fields. An addition of silicic acid increases the efficiency of organo-modified siloxane antifoams even more, which is particularly recommended for diluted formulations with a high water share.
